Kanye West is back to business — with a new hairdo.
West, 39, was spotted out in New York City on Monday and looked to be in good spirits, flashing a peace sign to paparazzi as he tagged along with Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend Corey Gamble during an apartment-hunting trip before heading to a recording studio to work on new projects.
The rapper-turned-designer sported a puffer coat along with a sweatshirt and Yeezy sneakers.
The outing comes weeks after the “Ultralight Beam” rapper was hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation on Nov. 21.
He resurfaced for the first time following the hospital stay last week, visiting the “Rick Owens: Furniture” exhibition at the MOCA Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Italian artist Giovanni Leonardo Bassan shared a photo of West on Instagram that day — featuring the rapper’s striking new hairdo.
One day later, West went for a lowkey BMX ride with a few friends in Los Angeles.
The star was taken to UCLA Medical Center for a week-long treatment. The famed rapper and producer spent Thanksgiving Day at the facility.
A source previously told PEOPLE that West was hard at work during his time at the facility, even attempting to make music from his hospital bed.
“I think Kanye’s going to come out of this stronger than ever, fully intact, creative and is going to contribute so much more awesome s—,” another insider previously told PEOPLE.
“He’s somebody who has always relished the opportunity to fight his way out of a corner. When he puts himself in a situation where he feels boxed in is when he comes with his full throttle genius.
