On Thursday (Dec. 22, 2016), Puth took to Twitter to let fans know he didn’t know Thorne was still supposedly dating Posey. “I can’t believe what I’m reading,” the singer tweeted. “No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I’m not going to be in the middle of it.”
According to E!, the article Puth was “reading,” in which Thorne gushes about Posey, was reportedly conducted with Paper magazine several months ago, so Palmer feels that Puth should have just asked Thorne directly instead of airing it publicly. “Why couldn’t you have just texted @bellathorne in private if you were confused? The interview is dated. So sorry Bella, ignore,” the Scream Queens actress wrote.
Thorne also set the record straight by tweeting a link to the article and adding, “Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends. That article was written forever ago.”
